Youth, Identity and Migration in the Time of Current Transformations

Nouakchott will host on June 27, 28 and 29, 2022, an international scientific conference, organized by the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies (Social Change Unit) in partnership with the Mauritanian Center for Legal, Economic and Social Studies and Research, in partnership with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO) and in cooperation with the German Maghreb Institut for Culture and Media (MagDe) and anothers Arab and international scientific institutions. The conference will be held under the title: "Youth, Identity and Migration in the Time of Current Transformations".
Topics of the conference:
1. The methodological and theoretical framing of the problem of "migration, youth and identity"
2. Global, regional and national contexts and their transformations in relation to the issues of "youth, migration and identity" within a field approach.
3. Expectations and hopes of young people during migration
4. The social and cultural dimensions and effects of youth migration from their point of view.
5. The interactive integration of immigrant youth in the receiving countries, its features, methods and mechanisms.
6. Youth Migration and Value Shifts in Arab Societies and Future Societies
7. Conflict / Identity Adaptation of Arab Youth in the Diaspora
